Referees answer a secure link
Candidates name their referees during onboarding. Each referee gets a secure single-use link and completes the reference online, with nothing to print or scan.
The chasing is automatic
Reminders go out at 3 and 7 days. If a reference has stalled at 14 days, the manager is alerted to step in, and only then.
Schedule 3 evidence, generated for you
Once two satisfactory references are in, CarersDoc generates a sealed Schedule 3 evidence document in the staff member's record, ready for an inspector.

What if a referee doesn't respond?+
CarersDoc reminds them automatically at 3 and 7 days. At 14 days it stops chasing and alerts the manager, who can reissue the request or ask the candidate for another referee.
What does an inspector see?+
A sealed Schedule 3 evidence document in the staff member's record, generated once a manager has reviewed two satisfactory references, with the responses behind it.
Can I request references for existing staff?+
Yes. Managers can start a reference request for any staff member, not just new starters, so gaps in older files can be closed too.
